Featured Artist: Joe Keinberger

I was born in Paris, the city of hats without visors and long skinny loaves of bread. There I studied at the great Academie de Gary under the tutelage of the great Francois Le Mopt. I left after four years to travel and to escape a murderous troupe of circus dwarves who insisted I pay them a hefty fee for crossing their street everyday on my way to the academy ( Ha Ha you little devils, I have the last laugh!). I hopped from country to country, engaging in many worthy artistic endeavors before taking a quick vacation to the Black Forest, amongst a gregarious clan of garden gnomes.

I returned to the art world more inspired than ever, being commissioned to create a wide variety of large scale artistic masterpieces. I painted an entire town in the Netherlands mauve, I set the world's record for creating the largest sauerkraut snowman in the western world, and I was co founder of the renowned, " Studio Le Singe," an interactive simian studio consisting of three howler monkeys, one gorilla and about sixty pounds of spider monkeys.

Now I am primarily a performance artist, having performed such feats as crab-walking across the state of Delaware clad in only speedos and silver paint, eating all my meals through cheese cloth, and my famous, " 24 Hours of Falling Down Steps," performed at the Porter Square MBTA stop in Massachussetts. My current performance has me living in Dorchester, Massachussetts where I create images such as the ones you will see here, and I am met with such intellectually stimulating conversation as, " Oh you're an artist....that's ...nice."
