This is a series of artworks called "Diluvia", a word that is most
commonly used to describe a period in either human or geologic history during
which a great flood covered the land. This group of images is concerned with various
kinds of deluge (a flood of information let's say, or emotion, or technology,
or imagery).
The images are also concerned with graphic shorthand and visual chaos. Finally,
they are a touchstone for each viewer's intuition. In other words, instead of
illustrating an existing fixed narrative, these images seek to be a fixed narrative
which the viewer will then "illustrate" with their own personal experience
as he or she attempts to read the visual data. These independent and unique interpretations
will, given that the images enjoy a wide enough exposure, form a deluge of their
own.
"Diluvia" represents the most recent large scale works I have completed.
I am also in the process of creating a serial work entitled "Proof Of The
Existence Of God", which is being distributed by the Art-O-Mat (www.artomat.org)
network.
